Feeding Guide
- THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE FEED.
- AMBOS SUPERCOOL HORSE PELLETS must be fed in conjunction with chaff, hay and/or pasture.
- When introducing any new ration to horses, always introduce gradually over a 1-2 week period.
- Feed an appropriate level of pellets for your horse’s bodyweight (as a guide – ranging from 0.5 - 1.5kg/day at 300kg, 1.0 - 2.0kg/day at 400kg, 1.5 - 2.5kg/day at 500kg, 2.0 - 3.0kg/day at 600kg).
- The daily feeding rates are a guide only and should be adjusted according to the horses body condition score, daily activity, age, breed, appetite and roughage quality/availability.
- As horses have a relatively small stomach, it is suggested to split the above feeding rates between 2 feeds daily. If pasture is limited, a minimum of 1% of bodyweight should be fed as hay and/or chaff.
- Always ensure access to cool, clean, fresh water.
