Feeding Guide
THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE FEED.
AMBOS MARE & FOAL PELLETS Must be fed in conjunction with chaff, hay and/or pasture.
Feed an appropriate level of pellets for your horse’s bodyweight and stage of pregnancy/growth. As a guide, daily total pellet feeding rates range from 0.5 - 1.5kg at 300kg bodyweight to 2.0 - 3.0kg at 600kg bodyweight, along with roughage/pasture. You may need to increase (up to double) the amount of pellets fed to mares during lactation when their demand for nutrition increases dramatically. The daily feeding rates are a guide only and should be adjusted according to the horses body condition score, activity level, age, breed, appetite and roughage quality/availability. As horses have a relatively small stomach, it is suggested to split the above feeding rates between two feeds daily. If pasture is limited, a minimum of 1% of bodyweight should be fed as hay and/or chaff. New feed should be introduced gradually over 10 -14 days. Always ensure your horse has access to cool, clean, fresh water.
Storage Guide
Cool, shaded, dry conditions, away from vermin.
Witholding Period
Nil.
