RIVERINA CONDAMINE FEEDLOT SUPPLEMENT - LIME is a palatable, free flowing molasses based liquid supplement to be mixed with grain and roughage to form a balanced feed for feedlotting cattle. It is suitable to be fed to growing/finishing cattle of most ages and supplies essential nutrients required for performance.

Feeding Guide

DO NOT FEED DIRECTLY IN CONCENTRATED FORM

Include at the rate of 4-5% (40 to 50 kg/tonne) of the total feedlot ration.
Inclusion rates are based on the total diet having 70-90% Dry Matter for cattle fed up to 120 days.
If young calves/cattle (under 300kg’s) are being fed, extra protein and calcium sources may be required.
It is recommended that a rumen buffer be used in the ration during the starter phase as this will aid in the prevention of acidosis. Sodium bentonite at 2% or sodium bicarbonate at 0.5-1.0% of the ration is adequate.
Cattle must always have access to clean, cool, fresh water.
To ensure uniform mixing, RIVERINA CONDAMINE FEEDLOT SUPPLEMENT – LIME should be the last ingredient added to the mixing wagon.
When feeding cattle, high grain diets should be gradually introduced to the cattle to allow the rumen to adapt and to avoid acidosis/grain poisoning. Small amounts should be fed at first, slowly increasing over a 3 week period.

MANAGEMENT

Medication

This supplement contains Rumensin® which supplies monensin sodium at 375 mg/kg on an ‘as fed’ basis to improve feed efficiency.
