Warwick Show Celebrates 150 Years

This year marked 150 Years of the Warwick Agricultural Show 24th, 25th, 26th March 2017.

The Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove officially opened the 150th Show on Friday Night.

Riverina Australia has been involved in sponsorship of the show for many years going back to the days of Warwick Stockfeeds & Bonza Stock Feeds.

This year I had the privilege of being the Chief Steward for both the Prime Sheep & lambs and the Prime Beef sections.

Riverina have sponsored the Wool Section as the Karara Graziers / Riverina Stockfeeds perpetual Trophy for 50+ years. This is a well sought after trophy for the Champion fleece from the Karara Traprock area which is renowned for the quality of the wool produced in this region.

We also have a perpetual trophy in the Prime Beef Section for the Most Successful Exhibitor.

All our sales staff are involved in the running of the show as volunteers with Anthony Grob & Chris Dearden in the Prime Sheep & Lambs Section, Emma Mills in the Led Steer & Stud Cattle Section.

Emma was also judged at the Warwick Show Gala Ball as this year’s Warwick Show Rural Ambassador.

We would like to congratulate all exhibitors on their entries in their individual sections. The quality of animals in all sections this year was of the highest quality & standard.
