First of this seasons wheat heading for export markets via Newcastle Agri Terminal

23rd November 2020

It’s an exciting time for our partner National Agri Terminal (NAT). The first shipment of new crop wheat is heading for Vietnam via the NAT, Carrington at the Port of Newcastle. The bulk carrier Ince Point will be carrying 35,000 tonnes of wheat to Vietnam. The upcountry growing area has been experiencing a prolonged drought but this seasons bumper winter crop breathes life back into the district and to the port. Long lines of trains and trucks will be delivering grain from cropping areas and stockpiles into the port for export.

This is the first of what could be up to 60 vessels loading wheat destined for our export markets at NAT in Carrington this export season.
