EUR-USD dove into near 14-year low terrain under 1.0440, having taken out yesterday’s post-Fed low and the March 2015 low at 1.0556. The Fed upped rates by 25 bp yesterday, as expected, but its dot plot signal of three more rate hikes in 2017 — one more than signalled in September — is driving dollar bulls. The euro last traded at these levels in January 2003. The USD index sailed into 14-year highs. USD-JPY surged further into 10-month high territory, making a high of 118.66.
