The U.S. returned from Christmas break on Tuesday, though the FX market felt like it was still on holiday. Light volumes and narrow ranges were the rule through the session, and more of the same is likely in the cards for the remainder of the week. A 15-year high consumer confidence outcome had little impact on markets, nor did a stronger Richmond Fed index, though Wall Street managed modest gains, as Treasury yields rose.
