Plans for new grain handling facility could cut costs for Eyre Peninsula growers

A new joint venture involving Eyre Peninsula farmers could see local grain handling costs drop by next harvest. Grower-owned Free Eyre Limited and the Sea Transport Corporation plan to build a bulk commodity terminal at the new Lucky Bay Port near Cowell. Free Eyre Limited said the group planned to jointly develop the $80 million facility near Cowell, which could deliver significant savings to local farmers.
