At the Riverina display at yesterday’s Forbes Stud Pig Sale, Riverina’s Anthony Grob was representing our proud support of the Australian Pork Industry, along with Emma Baxter and the active team of organisers of this annual event. It was great to see that we had a large amount of interest and inquiry in our display at the event about our broad range of feed options and raw materials.
This sale is an annual opportunity to purchase some of the best Australian purebred genetics. Producers, vendors and bidders traveled from far and wide, even from South Australia, to attend the event which did have exceptional stud genetics and Heritage Breeds on display. By contrast of the current pricing squeeze on the commercial pork producers, many of these FreeRange producers are still achieving $4.50/kg. In total there were approximately 90 Stud Pigs Boars and Sows on Auction.
It was fantastic to see the exciting new developments in the Australian Pork Industry, which we will always proudly continue to support. We look forward to seeing what next year’s event will bring.
