Dalby sale 26 July 2017: Cheaper trend but stronger in patches

Most classes of feed and export slaughter lines sold to a cheaper market. Restockers were very selective on the lightweight yearling steers with only well-bred lines in demand while the remainder averaged 10c/kg less. However, a lift in the quality of the light weight yearling heifers to restockers went against this trend to average 8c/kg better.
