Supporting Local Shows in Regional Queensland

Our team has been busy racking up the kilometres at the end of last month, visiting regional Queensland communities and supporting and celebrating their annual agricultural shows.

Riverina Stockfeeds Territory Sales Manager Chris Dearden travelled over 750km to attend the Goondiwindi Show, St George Show, and the Taroom Show with fellow Territory Sales Manager Wayne Crompton, from April 28th through to May 2nd.

“We support Ag shows all through regional Queensland and NSW with sponsoring sections and providing prizes for those competitions,” says Chris.

“While we support these events with sponsorships, attending the local shows in person is always a great opportunity for us to catch up with our customers and the broader community.”

This year Riverina Stockfeeds sponsored the cattle sections for all three shows as well as the Working Stockhorse Section for the Taroom Show, providing prizes for the winners of those competitions.

A highlight of the three shows for Chris this year was seeing the schools and young people get involved with their local shows.

“It’s fantastic to see so many younger people show an interest in the Ag and get involved with these shows because they offer a good introduction to the Ag Industry,” Chris says.

“Even though the local show is a celebration of the achievements in Ag, they’re also important events for their communities, which is why it’s important for us to support the communities that support us.”
